Curtis grew up in Vancouver, Canada and began performing at a young age.

Curtis is a graduate of the Sheridan College’s prestigious Musical Theatre Performance Program and continued his education in Glasgow, Scotland, where he attended the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and received his Master of Arts Degree.

Since graduating, Curtis has appeared in many productions around the globe including the original workshop of the international hit musical Come From Away, the London Off-West End production of The Theory of Relativity, David Ian’s production of Grease on Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas, and most recently as Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever.

Curtis' love for capturing stories on screen, along with his life-long passion for musical theatre, led him to open his own production company, Brown Stub Productions, and produce BEFORE THEY WERE THEM which premiered at the TIFF Lightbox in November 2019. The film won at festivals in Los Angeles, New York and was shown Off - Broadway at the Kraine Theatre. BEFORE THEY WERE THEM had a nationwide television debut on CBC.

Furthermore, along with his producing partners at Day By Day Pictures, he produced and developed a live action musical short entitled MORE TOGETHER with music & lyrics from composer Drew Gasparini. MORE TOGETHER premiered at the 2023 Orlando Film Festival and has won at several festivals around the globe including Best Musical and Best Ensemble at the 2023 Open Gate International Film Festival.

He is the creator and producer of the podcast I Wanna Be A Producer! Curtis speaks with Hollywood, Broadway and West End producers join him to answer questions, share their stories and offer their invaluable insight on what it means to produce.

His work behind the microphone extends into voiceover where he has worked for companies such as CTV, HSBC: The Bay and Oh Henry. Curtis has also appeared as a singer on multiple cast recordings.

He currently resides in Vancouver, Canada.
